Fabulous Fall Snack

This fun little recipe comes from a friend. It is so good. It is great for a snack.

Pecan Praline Crunch:

1 box Quaker Oat Square Cereal (brown sugar)
2 cups pecans
1/2 cup light Karo syrup
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix cereal and pecans in large mixing bowl. Set aside. Microwave Karo syrup, brown sugar, and butter for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir and microwave an additional minute or until boiling. Stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over cereal mixture. Stir until cereal is coated. Spray 2 cookie sheets with non stick spray. Spread mixture evenly in cookie sheets. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes. Place on waxed paper to cool. It gets crispy as it cools.
