I love cherries. When I found these (probably a year ago), I knew we would like them. They are perfect and very pretty for the holiday season. If you still need something to serve to family or friends, you might consider this.
Cherry Tarts:
1 8oz. tube crescent rolls
1 3oz. pkg. softened cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup canned cherry pie filling
1/4 tsp. almond extract
Place dough on a lightly floured surface. Seal the seams and perforations. Cut into 2 inch circles. Place in the bottom and up the sides of greased miniature muffin cups. Lightly prick dough with a fork to stay in place. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Place 1/2 tsp. in each cup. Combine pie filling and extract. Plcae 2 tsp. in each cup. Bake at 375 degrees for 14 minutes. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
