This recipe came from a Taste of Home magazine from last year. It is yet another take on pecan pie.
Chewy Pecan Pie Bars:
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup all purpose flour
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups chopped pecans
Powdered sugar
Pour butter into a 13x9 baking dish. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Mix well, and then stir in the pecans. Spread over the butter. Bake at 350 degrees 30-35 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.
